ELSA

What is an ELSA?

An ELSA is a specially trained support worker for children.  Their aim is to remove any barriers to learning and have happy children in school and at home.

My Role as an ELSA

To provide children with an opportunity to talk about their feelings and to help them to understand their feelings.

Some children have difficulties around Anger, Self Esteem, Friendship Issues, Separating Parents and more.  I am able to help children with coping strategies when needed.

I offer a quiet place for them to talk...

I also conduct Group work with children with Sarah Howells, for our Young Carers and children of separated parents.

We have a Pastoral Team at Compton comprising of Sarah Howells, Lee Woodman and Ros Lonnkvist.

We are Thrive Practitioners and are committed to supporting and improving the emotional well-being of our children and young people.
